Bottle, 0.33l. Pours copper body with one finger white head, creamy and frothy. Excellent retention and lacing. Smell is subtle and really pleasant, mostly floral with a touch of caramel and herbal spiciness. Full body with thick and creamy texture, softly carbonated. Starts of bitter, ends a bit sweeter. Aroma is rich and complex. Flower bouquet, herbal liquor, a bit spicy, candy, touch of honey, vanilla, very grassy. Notable alcohol presence on the tongue. Mouthfeel is herbal and moderately bitter, followed by a long and mostly dry finish. Overall, very nice and pleasant. Beautifully balanced and complex beer.

Little hazy amber beer, creamy solid off-white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: bit fruity, some citrus, floral. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty bitter hoppy start, fruity, notes, citrus, some grapefruit, slightly sour. Aftertaste: hoppy, bitter, soapy touch, some malts, bit of grapefruit. Nice one! Glad I finally got to try my last Belgian Trappist beer! :-)

Rerate of a young bottle. Hazy dark orange-amber with a stable, frothy, off-white head. Complex aroma of abbey cheese, apple peel, unripe pear, straw, unbaked bread, yeast, citrus zest. Taste has sweetish unripe pear, sourish citrus & green apple over a dry-bready, doughy malt base with funky hay, cheesy & yeasty effects. Grassy hoppy finish offering bitter straw, some citrus peel, the recognizable white pepper and lots of funky, leathery brett notes all around. Medium body, moussy texture, heavy carbonation. An 'invincible' classic of Belgian beer culture, without a doubt. (Edited 22/03/23)
