Cask at the brewery's tap. Clear copper gold. Foamy translucent white head. Aroma has a surprising smoky element to it, alongside light fruit. Flavourwise it has berry sourness and a bitter almost acrid and smokey edge. Loght. Thin. Soft carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Just doesn't do it for me.... leaves a not.entirely pleasent aftertaste.

Cask at the brewery's tap. Opaque amber..Thin foamy translucent white head. Aroma... jad to stretch my snozz muscles to detect light dank fruit and lighter resin, as well as a veggie element. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Boring old school brewery style take on an IPA.

Cask at the brewery's tap. Clear gold. Thing foamy translucent white head. Aroma has Elderflower sweetness, a light bitter edge and malts. Flavourwise it mirrors the aroma. More bitter into the finish. But overall it's underpowered. Light-medium bodied. Soft slightly fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Limp stuff. Refreshing on a hot day, probably (it's not that hot today).

Keg at their tap. Clear light gold. Thin foamy white head mainly bulks up around the rim. Aroma combines light resinous bitterness with stone fruit. My obligatory underlying malts. Flavourwise it has prickly gooseberry with a resinous element to it. Malts. Light. Thin. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Bitter yet still overly polite sessionable stuff.

Keg at the brewpub. Aroma is rich - espresso and cacao, an emphasis on the former.. stygian. Thick foamy light beige head. Medium bitter - matches the aroma - with a tart berry edge. Medium bodied. Slick. Average carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Another punchy Black Cloak brew.

Cask at the brewpub. Added as a Pale Ale because beerboard states Golden Pale. Aroma has sweet with underlying grains and malts. Clear gold. Thin foamy translucent white head. Sour citrus. Underlying syrupy sugariness. Develops a chewy malty streak. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Hoppy Gold but brewer's intent and all that, aye
