500ml bottle from Cheese & Wine Shop, Darlington. Clear pale golden colour, white foamy head and aroma of biscuit, malt, straw, citrusy. Taste is biscuity malt, grain, hay & citrus hop bitterness. Light bodied, medium carbonation, dry lingering bitter finish. Quite OK.

500ml bottle from Crafty Pint (Half Moon), Darlington. Pours black with a tan head and aroma of toasted malt, chocolate & coffee. Roast malt flavour, with dark fruits, chocolate, coffee & nutty notes. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry earthy roast bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

500ml bottle from the Crafty Pint (Half Moon), Darlington. Dark brown-red colour, foamy beige head leaving some lacing and aroma of malt, toffee, liquorice. Taste is sweet malty, toffee, brown sugar, dark fruits, with hints of chocolate, liquorice, roasted & nutty notes. Creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, lingering malty sweet finish. Quite OK.

Cask gravity at Planet Thanet BF 2014. Copper deep amber colour. An English ipa. Light chocolate and earthy hops. Fine. It’s an English ipa. Ok.

500ml Bottle - Amber in colour. Toffee, sultanas and dried apricot in the aroma. Nicely balanced taste with biscuity malt, apricot, walnuts and peach detected. Quite nice, although not as hoppy as I was expecting it to be.

500ml Bottle - Amber in colour. Cocoa, apricot and a hint of orange peel in the aroma. Malty and chocolatey taste with notes of dried apricot, biscuity malt and cocoa. Nicely balanced and very drinkable. A great bitter.

500ml Bottle - Dark brown/red in colour. Liquorice, blackcurrant and some earthy notes in the aroma. Fruity and slightly roasted taste with blackcurrant and liquorice (almost like the sweets) being most noticeable. A decent drop.

500ml Bottle - Black with a foamy tan head. Coffee, plain chocolate, vanilla and some slightly smoky hints in the aroma. Chocolatey and roasted taste with notes of vanilla, coffee and plain chocolate. Vanilla and some smoky notes linger in the finish.
