On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy orange gold with small white head that lasts. The aroma is strong passion fruit, wheat, lemon zest. Thin body, wheat, passion fruit, light salt, tart, crisp, very good.

22oz bomber pours with a near perfect hop hazed copper body that has thin gold edges and supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up pine hops, malt sweetened grapefruit like citrus hops, malts and a bit of crystal malts. After it warmed a bit some floral hops start to open up. The taste is pretty bitter with hops where pine takes a quick strangle hold on the experience dealing sharp bitter and resiny pine sap hoppiness. Another sip, and yes this is a big ole’ bitter hoppy brew. To midway thin streams of faintly juicy grapefruit and tangelo are noticed taking this pine hoppy train ride right into the finish. Like in the nose; as it warms it picks up some floral like hops. If you’re ready for hops and hop bitterness this won’t disappoint. This works for me.

Pitch black beer, big irregular creamy beige head, little stable, adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: very roasted, lots of cocoa powder, charcoal, dusty, cookie dough. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: roasted start, bit sweet, citric touch, alcohol, bit hoppy, caramel. Aftertaste: coffee, more alcohol, very roasted, bit sweet, ripe fruits, coffee, bitter finish, charcoal, dry ending.

Nice light brown creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly rich, dark malts, grass, licorice, alcohol, dark sugar, weeds, bark, roasted coffee, hops, minerals. Taste is harsh mineraly, roasted grain, minerals, alcohol, weeds, bark, burnt coffee, harsh hops, grass, cardboard, licorice. Medium to longlasting bitterness, harsh mineraly mouthfeel. Nice aroma, not so nice flavors...

Bottle (from frima bier?). Pours dark brown-black with light brownis head. The head stays. Aroma is vodka like booze, roast, dark chocolate, malt. Flavor is sweet and bitter, booze, roast, dark chocolate, malt, sugar, caramel, booze. Finish is rather intense hoppy-roasty bitter. Did I say it’s boozy?! Drinkability is ok-ish. Overall: this would probably get better rating from me, but drinking this after the fantastic Wild Beer Wildebeest it feels like a real big step backward (and they are both rated the same - 99 currently int RB). This is really really boozy (not in a good way) and simple compared to the Wildebeest. Gets better as it warms up, but still rather simple and boozy brew.
