Flaske (batch 472) fra Vinmonopolet Verksgata, hjemme (på perm fra SUS): Viskøst siger den ut av flaske og danner et fint lysebrunt skum som holder seg. Dette er snadder, mørk konfekt av beste merke, fyldig så det holder, lekkert balansert og med en bitterhet som kompletterer inntrykket elegant. Lang, portvinsaktig og varmende avslutning. Jeg legger en ny kubbe på peisen og lener meg tilbake i godstolen. Den rette forberedelsen til morgendagens angiografi.

Black with thin head. Strong aroma and flavour of heavily roasted almost burnt malts and a touch of coffee. Aftertaste is of bitter coffee and cocoa.

Reddish color with a light beige head with good retention. Aroma is slightly hoppy. Light bitterness in the final with some caramel. Very light bitterness in the final with some dry mouthfeel.

Botella 33 cl tomada en Cimmeria en junio 2015. Lote ZBMISW1 hasta 01..2016. Doble Ipa con sabores maltosos dulces afrutados amargo final bueno. Bastante buena. 9.25 vol que se notan en todo momento. Habría que repetir de nuevo.

355ml bottle, batch number 472, bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. The oily pour reveals an espresso head slowly declining over a pitch black body. Clingy lacing. Confectionery nose, together with wood and dark bread. Coffee and grainy chocolate flavours, some dark spices and molasses. Dark fruity bitterness to a long-lived ending. Port impression. Warming and full bodied. Excellent sipper (Friday eve at home in Tromsø, 20.11.2015).

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Nr Gent, Belgie. Consumed at home Saturday 21st November 2015 Pitch black, shark eye black, with a film of beige head, there was probably a much larger more impressive head, however I was too busy cooking my African Stewed Beef with Peanut Butter so the head had largely disappeared by the time I got to. Thick and rich in the mouth, really rich, you can pick out vanilla and chocolate, mmhhh...it’s like an ice cream. Sweetish, a little creamy it’s lovely. Good beer, not spectacular, but good. 12 oz bottle poured into a nonic pint glass. Dark brownish black with fizzy light tan head reminiscent of soda that fades fairly quickly. Aromas of root beer spices, those little root beer barrel candies, licorice. Tastes pretty much like a root beer, some licorice and sarsaparilla. Light body with a semi-dry finish. For what it is, it works fairly well. Could be dangerously easy to get smashed off of this at 7.5% with no noticeable alcohol.

Svart med fingerhøyt brunt skum. Siste tre cm var en tykk grøt. Lukter mørk sjokolade, kakaopulver, mørke frukter og lakris. Fyldig. Smaker salt, lett bitterhet, noe dyp fruktsødme. Middels lang.
