355ml. Noire, col blanc-cassé, moka, huileux au verre. Arôme offre un bouquet de stout impérial américain dont le caractère grillé et chocolaté ressort bien mais restant moyen avec une pointe de noisette, et un café presque renforcé au niveau des malts. Palais est réchauffant, montre de suite son niveau alcool. Grillé, pointe de caramel et un renfort épicé tirant sa force des houblons tout comme l’amertume qui reste modéré - citronnée. Léger côté fruité noir, sec avec un fini cendre.

Bottle sample at a tasting at troubles’s place. Thanks Max. Clear yellow. Pleasant hoppy aroma, citric, floral, and slightly tropical. Flavor has some graininess, and decent floral and citric hops, with mild to moderate bitterness. Quite light-bodied.

Flaske 355ml fra Systembolaget Kiruna. Drukket i Skibotn 3 Aug 15. Varm gyldenbrun. Litt uklar. Middels skum som daler sakte. Aroma av mandarin. Smaken mer mandarin. Litt tørr & bitter etter hvert. Vel mye kullsyre. Litt bunnfall med en uklar siste kvelling.

12 ounce bottle from Beer Run. Dark brown with a thin fizzy head that quickly fades. Aroma of sarsaparilla with a bit of spice. The taste is vanilla, root beer, spice. Thin bodied. Decent.

33cl bottle @Pulp, Athens. Pours dark golden with small lasting white head. Medium body, dry finish, bitter aftertaste. Totally hoppy, pine, lemon, orange and citrus peel, floral. An overall good IPA, but I’ve had better ones.

At Craft & Draft. Dark oily pour. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, cacao and cream. Taste is thick, with heavily roasted malt, cacao, coffee, mild licorice, bitters and a sticky mouthfeel. Nice ris.

Bottle, 2013, purchased. Pours opaque black, medium dark brown creamy head, dissipates slowly, nice lacing. Aroma is a bit light, roasty, hints of anise and molasses, not a lot of bourbon. Flavor is light sweet, light plus bitter, roasty, chocolate, light vanilla and molasses, hints of bourbon, but this is under-barreled for sure. Full body and creamy.

35cl Bottle from Vonk. Hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of pineapple, some melon, citrus, blossom, light malty, bright. Flavour is light to medium sweet, light malty, floral, citrusy, light soapy, fruity, melon, nice floral bitterness. Light bodied. Tasty and refreshing.
