Description
In 1996 Pabst, once one of the largest breweries in the United States closed down its production in Milwaukee after 152 years. Since then Pabst’s legacy brands like Pabst Blue Ribbon (PBR), Old Milwaukee, Lone Star, Rainier, Stroh’s, Old Style and Schlitz are brewed under contract by third parties. For nearly two decades, MillerCoors brews and distributes all of Pabst's beers under an agreement. In 2019, it has entered with City Brewing Company into a 20-year contract production agreement until 2040. Pabst will gradually transfer from 2021 until 2024 its production from MillerCoors to City Brewing.

Glad to find a a sample of this, been waiting. Pounder pabst can, yum. Tastes like a milder APA. Enjoyable actually. Lacks much of that evil APA stuff that wants to be an IPA. I like this, its a good example of a mild domestic pale ale, I think its even better than genny cream or koch's. Easy and very quaffafble. Yes, good stuff, sessionalble, thank you. No rude or typical nasty domestic ale effects, one of the better APA I've had. Not as good as Indigo Imp Jester Fin City White Marlin Pale Ale Crooked Tongue Easy on the Tongue or even Brew Keepers Deathwind Pale Ale, but its still pretty darn good.

Can: Clear gold with a large white head. Grain, light orange scent. Taste is soft and sweet orange malt and grain malt. Very mild orange-peel bittering. This is really a fairly solid, sessionable APA Not bad at all.

[66cl bottle from Tesco, Amersham, brewed under license somewhere in the UK. A straw coloured pour with a burst of carbonation leaving no head; grainy aroma; some sweet apple in the mouth; then a light dusting of cardboard hops; and a sweet grainy finish.

16 oz. can. Pours a clear pale gold color (SRM 5) with a white head and good retention. Good lacing. Grainy lager aroma. Similar grainy lager flavor, lightly sweet, with a clean, semi-crisp finish. Nothing special but actually very refreshing. Medium light body. Smoother and cleaner than the original PBR. Great golf beer. Haters are gonna hate, but this is a great light beer.

Smells like regular PBR. Taste is a thinner, watered-down lager, like PBR diluted with water. Real easy to drink.

Can: Clear, light bubbly gold with a tall, pillowy, white head. Barley, cracker scent. Taste is slightly creamy barley malt, corn, Really a pretty decent body and taste for a hyper-lite lager.... Solid.

Bottle. Brewed under licence in the UK. Purchased as a curio as I can't recall seeing PBR in my area before. Nose is light grain, light hop, very faint citrus. One of the weakest tasting beers I've ever had; grain, cereal, corn, slight citrus. It reminds me of the very light Korean beers, and barely tastes like a good or bad beer.
