Bottle from Beer52. Pale gold with a large craggy white head and a rather too obvious fizz. Nice light lemony whiff up front, but on tasting it’s butter with a hint of herbs and a touch of wee and cardboard. It’s better than the macro lagers, but it’s not great.

Shared 750 ml bottle at local tasting, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 9%. Slightly hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of stale marmalade, possibly oxidised. Somewhat unfresh flavour, a bit alcoholic, decent hops but no masterpiece.

Fra flaske på RBHD-samling på Tau nov-16: lett uklar gylden med ok skum. Karameller, stikkelsbær, gule epler, appelsinmarmelade og overmodne tropiske fruker. Halvtørr ettersmak med behagelig bitterhet. God maltkropp men uten mersmak.

Shared bottle with RB/HD at Tau 01.11.16. Muddy orange. Small white head. Aroma of old marmalade and barley wine. Similar taste, with mango, papaya and other tropical fruits. Solid sweetness. More like a good barley wine than an IPA.
