Description
Libertine Brewing Company was founded in 2012 on the premise of bringing the best beer selection to the Central Coast, while brewing unique beers and products to compliment. With a strong emphasis on tradition while still being authentic to our region, we have grown from a small brewpub on the water in Morro Bay, to a 9000 square foot production and tasting facility on the edge of downtown San Luis Obispo. All of our Wild Ales are brewed and transferred into an open-top coolship overnight, which allows the local wild yeasts of our area time to naturally fall in and start the fermentation process, giving our beers a true Central Coast Terroir. Along with Wild Ales, we also make cold-brewed coffee that is aged in bourbon and wine barrels and spiced with local ingredients foraged from the surrounding hills.

Capped and corked 750 shared by Marcus. Pours very hazy peach gold with a decent, but transient, white head. Aroma of lightly sour cooked peaches. Med body or so. Flavor is nicely, but not harshly, tart/sour with some peach flavor. A little bit of wild bacteria derived flavor is clear in the finish. Good drink for the style.

Capped and corked 750 from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours translucent gold with a white head that didn’t last long. Aroma is lightly sour with some floral aspects. Med body. Flavor is funky, and the yeast and/or bacteria is unknown to me. It’s lightly funky and reasonably hoppy. A little citrus. Drinks a treat.

Bottle 750ml. @ [ Klimaet Cellar Clearance Tasting ], Aarhus, Denmark. [ As Libertine Jove - Jupiter Blend ].ABV: 6.8%. Hazy - murky matt medium red colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, moderate yeasty, dough, blackberry, medicine. Flavor is moderate sweet and acidic with a long duration, tart, dry, dough, blackberry, hospital - medicine, sour berries. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. Did realy need to focus on not getting the medicine - hospital in the aroma and thereby get the flavor of medicine - hospital, if focused on the medicin 5-3-6-3-10 [20170203] 7-3-8-3-15
