Description
Libertine Brewing Company was founded in 2012 on the premise of bringing the best beer selection to the Central Coast, while brewing unique beers and products to compliment. With a strong emphasis on tradition while still being authentic to our region, we have grown from a small brewpub on the water in Morro Bay, to a 9000 square foot production and tasting facility on the edge of downtown San Luis Obispo. All of our Wild Ales are brewed and transferred into an open-top coolship overnight, which allows the local wild yeasts of our area time to naturally fall in and start the fermentation process, giving our beers a true Central Coast Terroir. Along with Wild Ales, we also make cold-brewed coffee that is aged in bourbon and wine barrels and spiced with local ingredients foraged from the surrounding hills.

Sample at Sour Sunday 2015. Pink with a small head. Very sour with raspberries, fruit, funk and vinegar. Also Parmesan in the aroma. The taste was better than the aroma.

Bottle thanks to Santa! Pours a cloudy amber brown with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of sour pomegranate with a touch of acid and earthy grain backing. Flavor has sour to acidic pomegranate with a touch of Brett and barrel backing.

Draft. Amber-brown beer with a cream head. Malt and light tart aroma. Sour and woody flavor with light malt. Medium bodied. Sour and woodiness lingers with earth and light fruitiness.
