Description
Libertine Brewing Company was founded in 2012 on the premise of bringing the best beer selection to the Central Coast, while brewing unique beers and products to compliment. With a strong emphasis on tradition while still being authentic to our region, we have grown from a small brewpub on the water in Morro Bay, to a 9000 square foot production and tasting facility on the edge of downtown San Luis Obispo. All of our Wild Ales are brewed and transferred into an open-top coolship overnight, which allows the local wild yeasts of our area time to naturally fall in and start the fermentation process, giving our beers a true Central Coast Terroir. Along with Wild Ales, we also make cold-brewed coffee that is aged in bourbon and wine barrels and spiced with local ingredients foraged from the surrounding hills.

Thanks to Levi for sharing this beer. Interesting ponk color. Very soir, fruit, dragonfruit maybe? An aroma that reminds me of kool aid an an almost anrasive sour flavor. Unusual. I liked this.

I assume this bottle came from Jeff. Some sulfur in the aroma. Hazy yellow appearance. White head. Yeast, and a little sour bit. Good.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Stas & Vova. Murky dark brown with no head. Aroma of roast, vinegar, dark fruits,a spicy note. Sour flavor with vinegar, roast, a bit of spice, coffee, a bit of wood and light stomach acid notes. Medium-bodied. A bit too acidic, but not bad.

Bottle shared by Levi, thanks! Pours a cloudy pale murky yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of yogurt and light stone fruit with a slight acid note and a hint of of sulfur. Flavor kind of reminds me of watermelon sour patch kids with a decent amount of acid and a bit of sweetness.
