Description
We are The Curious Brewery. Where flavour and passion comes first. We believe in trying to create things that others can’t.
Our reason for being is to inspire people to stay curious. To question. To celebrate. To smile more. And to never graduate from the school of life. We decided to make the best-tasting beer and cider, using just the best quality ingredients brewed at our state of the art Brewery in Ashford, Kent, United Kingdom.
Curious bought Wild Beer Co out of administration in a deal that involved the beer brands and intellectual property of Wild Beer Co, but not its Somerset-based brewery production facilities. The Curious and Wild Beer Co businesses were transfered into the hands of St Peter’s in 2023.

330 ml bottle from ICA Stakkevollan. The words on a well-made label made me curious, no pun intended. I am afraid the cap on the bottle I purchased was not completely sealed. as there was little or no head nor carbonation to speak of. Body is clear and has the golden colour of late summer grain fields. Aroma is invitingly sweet with notes of citrus and hops, which continues in flavour along with some malts. Except for the lack of carbonation the palate is quite dry with some bitterness. Goes down well, and I believe an unspoiled bottle would put this well above most commercial lagers. (At home, 280314).

330ml bottle from Waitrose. Looks like a basic pale lager. But with a very defined flowery aroma and subtle aftertaste. Nice.

Flaske 0,33l fra ICA Stakkevollan. Drukket hjemme 4 Okt 13. Veldig lys. Høyt luftig skum med bitte litt lacing. Frisk&god fruktaroma. Skummet flater nesten helt ut. Smaken litt skuffende, Virker kunstig parfymert. Litt tørr etter hvert. KI=0

330 ml bottle. Clear, dark golden body with a light off-white head. Mild but nice aroma of malt and citric fruit. Flavor is mild as well, soft, sweet light malt with a rather discreet fruitiness and low bitterness. Medium body and moderate in aftertaste. I choose to ignore the fact that this is supposed to be an IPA, as otherwise this is actually a quite nice, clean British style session beer. Nothing extraordinary rally, but tasty and balanced in a modest way with no off flavors.

Bottle. A clear, golden beer with a small, dense, off-white head of moderate size. Some lacings. The aroma is weak, with a light fruityness. Not much malts to be detected. The flavor has some bitterness, a faint touch of toffee, and a biscuity maltyness. Medium body, quite dry, with a decent carbonation level. Bitter finish. Pretty boring this one, not much IPA-ish. 140110
