Description
We are The Curious Brewery. Where flavour and passion comes first. We believe in trying to create things that others can’t.

Our reason for being is to inspire people to stay curious. To question. To celebrate. To smile more. And to never graduate from the school of life. We decided to make the best-tasting beer and cider, using just the best quality ingredients brewed at our state of the art Brewery in Ashford, Kent, United Kingdom.

Curious bought Wild Beer Co out of administration in a deal that involved the beer brands and intellectual property of Wild Beer Co, but not its Somerset-based brewery production facilities. The Curious and Wild Beer Co businesses were transfered into the hands of St Peter’s in 2023.

Bottle. Pours yellow with a big creamy head. Aroma is very fruity with yeast and hops, some crisp champagne-ish whiffs with minerals, wine grapes and Nelson Sauvin. Body is full with average carbonation. Flavour is bitter with peach and light tropical notes of passion fruit as well as some pepper and a sweet fruity finish. Very fruity, yet crisp. Curious indeed, as well as quite nice.

Bottled 330ml Lumo. Clear golden color, good white head. First some sweetish notes, then hayish aroma. No trace of Cascade or Nelson Sauvin. Light-bodied. Cardboardish front, then sweetish maltyness, light grassy hops. Some white wineous notes (from champagne yeast) but otherwise quite ordinary lager despite of good description.

06.11.2013, 0,33l bottle @ home:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head, but looks like someones pee. Aroma is slightly fresh grassy, light malts, hops, hay, cats piss, pine needles, leafs, hints of citrus. Taste is slightly sweet grainy, light malts, leafs, grain, hints og hops. Little bitterness, very thin mouthfeel. If it had only tasted like the aroma...

330 ml bottle, from Coop Mega, Sola. ABV is 4.7%. Clear pale golden colour, large white head. Nice aroma of crushed white grapes and gooseberries, also mild spices and fresh grass. Light bodied. Fresh and crisp pilsener flavour, moderate floral, fruity and herbal hops. Quite enjoyable.

0.33l bottle. A crystal clear kinda pale golden one with a nice medium sized bubbly white top that's leaving some good blondes down the sides of the glass. It actually has quite a nice little citrus nose. Lots of lemon and lemonade hops mainly, also a bit of grapefruit, tea and wort. Smells alright actually. It has lots of wet grains in the taste. The tropical hops continues also, but it's way more toned down and subdued than the aroma. Light oily to watery on the mouthfeel and the carbonation level is just below average and it kinda foams in the mouth. I like the citrus sting this beer has. Quite pleasant, but the wet grains and that dry hay flavor draws the total impression a bit down. Grapes and grape stalches in the finish. Absolutely light and drinkable. 16.09.2013

330ml bottle picked up at Kjeller 5 in Tromsø. Plenty of bubbly, foamy head, most of it disappearing. Loose glass-lacing. Clear late straw coloured body. Semi-dry aroma of citrus and herbal hops. Mid-sweet flavours of noble hops added by herbs and earthy malts. Gentle dry bitter endnotes. Oily palate, clean on the swallow. Well made lager (Tromsø 26.10.2013).

Bottle at home. Pours a golden straw colour with a small and white head. Fruity and hoppy aroma with tones of citrus, pale malt, hay and passion fruit. Light flavour with more pale malt, grass and saaz hops. A little dry in the end. Light and silky mouth feel, and has a light bitterness. An interesting, bit fruity and fresh premium lager. Decent.

330 ml bottle. Lovely, clear, dark amber body with a nice beige head. Quite light, but nice aroma of roasted malt, dark fruit and some chocolate. Flavor is mild, dark roasted malt, dark fruit, light coffee and chocolate, liquorice and moderate bitterness. Medium body and moderate aftertaste of roasted malt and liquorice. Pleasant and easy to drink, but nothing extraordinary.
