Description
We are The Curious Brewery. Where flavour and passion comes first. We believe in trying to create things that others can’t.

Our reason for being is to inspire people to stay curious. To question. To celebrate. To smile more. And to never graduate from the school of life. We decided to make the best-tasting beer and cider, using just the best quality ingredients brewed at our state of the art Brewery in Ashford, Kent, United Kingdom.

Curious bought Wild Beer Co out of administration in a deal that involved the beer brands and intellectual property of Wild Beer Co, but not its Somerset-based brewery production facilities. The Curious and Wild Beer Co businesses were transfered into the hands of St Peter’s in 2023.

Big offwhite head. Clear yellow body with carbonation. Light fruity wine grape aroma, fairly faint. Dryish fruity wine grape taste with watery notes. Mid-bodied. Fizzy mouthfeel. Dryish mealy wine grape aftertaste with herbal spicy papery notes. It’s OK, but a bit papery and austere. (0.33l bottle from Meny Strømmen Storsenter.)

Bottle shared by Dutchdrebus @ weekly tasting. Clear orange to amber color, small off - white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, hops, decent bitterness. Not bad at all but I feel it could be a bit more outspoken. Medium body and carbonation.

Bottle, Browns, Liverpool. Yellow, lagery looks with a thin white head. Weird nose of fruit and veg on the turn that wasn’t entirely pleasant. Grain and corn in the rather insipid flavour. Very forgettable. Meh.

Bottle from Saint Pierre’s Seafood bar, Shrewsbury Market Hall. I must admit the reason I picked this up was because I was curious about the use of Champagne yeast in this, but generally found it a bit lacklustre. There is some wine-like citrus to this, but the overall flavour seems a little weak with little trace of the Saaz or Cascade hops it apparently contains.

Bottle at the Martin T tasting, CBC, 06/06/13 - thanks to whoever brought this along. Mahogony brown with a thin light beige head. Nose is roast malt, dark fruits, toffee, biscuit. Taste is a little weak, light roast, malt, biscuit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light roast in a dryish finish. Pretty boring porter.
