Description
Producing beer using left over bread rather than fresh barley.

We work in partnership with exceptional breweries, using their brewery but under our own license and using our own ingredients and recipes, and brewed by our in-house brewer, Stuart.

Moved to own brewery in Milton Keynes, during 2024.

In the UK, our beers are brewed at SEB in Broadstairs.

We've previously worked with Hepworth Brewery in Sussex, Wold Top Brewery and Hambleton Ales in Yorkshire, and with Hackney Brewery in London. Each time we've moved, it's been to allow us to scale up production.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at Waitrose, I think. Pours totally clear gold with a creamy, white head. Simple bready pale malts in the aroma, some citrus hops, tangerine, a little hay. Light sweet flavour with more bready pale malts, orange peel, dirty straw. Light bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Finishes with moderate rindy and grassy bitterness, restrained sweetness, some pithy tangerine. A slight plastic-grass note in the aftertaste. Not bad overall.

33cl bottle from Tesco, Warfield. A pale amber pour with no head and light carbonation; sour grainy aroma with some orchard fruit; lightly bitter in the mouth with a toasted grain taste; and a rather watery finish. Drinkable, and a worthy idea.

330ml bottle. Clear, yellow-ish, pale golden colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grainy, strawy, slightly bready aroma, unspecific fruitiness. Taste is moderately sweet fruity, slightly unspecific fruitiness, elderberry, elderflower; clean, slightly monotonous.

Bottle from Dos Hermanos, Leicester. Light yellow, some visible carbonation. Very little head. Clean if light aroma with some gooseberry, loquat and white grape notes. There's a sweetness to the taste which fades, leading to a dry, crisp finish. High level of carbonation. Unfortunately there isn't a lot to this, although it's promising it needs more personality.

Bottle at home, 26/08/17. Clear golden with an off white head that soon collapses to a swirl. Nose is pale malts, light lemon and lime, cereals, stale bread. Taste comprises faint citric peel, straw, grains, pale malts, light paper. Medium bodied, rather flat and under carbonated, semi drying close with light bitterness. Mediocre affair .... didn’t even get a refreshing feel with this one.
