Keg at the Lovibonds tap takeover Brewdog Camden. Translucent golden / straw coloured pour with a thin white head. Aroma is lovely sour lemon, with earthy straw, lemony zip, tart apple. Flavour is really grainy, grain husks, straw, zippy tart lemon and apple fruit, grain / fruit tanin. Palate is fine, light refreshing body, spritzy carbonation, tart finish. Lingering tangy sour fruit. Nicely balanced

Keg at the Brewery, Henley, 18/04/15. Clear golden amber with a decent off white covering. Nose is light bread dough, citric peel, straw, caramel. Taste comprises wheaten bread, lemon rind, caramel, faint melon. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent GB, works well on keg, refreshing on a hot day.

Bottle at home, from Tourist Town’s Waitrose, 12/04/15. Hazed golden amber with a decent light beige covering. Nose is bitter fruit, light floral, bready malt, toffee apple. Taste comprises caramel, light candied fruits, hint of brown sugar, mellow fruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Inoffensive easy drinking amber affair, nothing I’d look to revisit but nothing wring with it.

Bottle at The Cad’s 10yr Shindig thanks to Colin/Fin. It pours opaque darkest brown with a small off-white head. The nose is rich chocolate gateaux, vanilla, oak, juicy, bourbon and some dark fruits. The taste is bitter, rich-roast, creamy, earth, wood, vanilla, toasted coconut, cocoa, bounty bar and some warming alcohol towards the finish. Fulsome body, moderate carbonation and velvety mouth-feel. Great bourbon on the aroma. Smooth and well-rounded. Nice work.

Bottle at the Cads 10th Anniversary bash, got this one with big thanks to Fin, 29/03/15. Light black with a decent tan covering. Nose is rich malts, spice, chocolate, toffee fudge, dates, rich toast, subtle bourbon strokes. Taste comprises rich chocolate, sticky toffee pudding sauce, dark fruit rinds, dates, malt load, nice bourbonic presence, burbon steeped oak, light spice trace, chocolate pudding. Full bodied, fine carbonation - slick and welcoming on the palate. An extremely well executed BA Imperial @ Xo Xolid !

Bottle at Toms 10 yr anniversary. Black beer lasting off white head. Chocolate sponge aroma. It’s ok. Clearly not my thing but the chocolate is good. Smooth. Bit boozy. Ok.
