Bottle from The Green Goddess, Blackheath Royal Standard. Nose is chocolate, cake, jammy dark fruits, sweet tobacco, bourbon, cocoa. Taste is dark chocolate, sweet tobacco, Turkish coffee, bourbon, cocoa. Rich smoky coffee linger on the palate. Humungously warming. Soothing boozy sweet finish. Excellent.

440 ml can, as Tartarus Whowie DIPA, from Left Field Beer webshop, England. ABV is 8.4%. Moderately hazy golden colour, moderate to small white head. Aroma of peaches, melon and papaya, a bit unfresh. Flavour of said fruits, fresh enough, hints of citrus too. Quite tasty.

330ml can. Pours black with a small tan head disappearing quickly. Aroma of caramel, toffee, chocolate. Taste is very sweet, lots of caramel, toffee, chocolate, biscuit, a little roast malt bitterness and warming booze. Full bodied, smooth. Pretty much spot on as per description but a bit sweet for me.

Can from dunno'. Hazy creamy brown. Foamy off-white head. Aroma has spicy rye and fruit. Flavourwise we have suey rye combined with light resinous bitterness and spice. Light-medium bodied. Slick to creamy. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Nice.

(Cask at Southampton Arms, Gospel Oak, London, 20 Nov 2025) Black colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate, vanilla, sweet black coffee and caramel. Malty, roasted, sweetish taste with dark chocolate, sweet espresso, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, caramel and a mild cacao bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Rich, tasty and chocolatey. A bit sweet, but quite well balanced. Very nice.

(Draft at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 8 Nov 2025) Black colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted, vinous nose with notes of espresso, dark chocolate, cacao, liquorice and soy sauce. Malty, roasted, vinous taste with cacao, chocolate truffles, espresso, soy sauce, liquorice and a generous cacaco bitterness in a boozy and warming finish. Full body, sweet. Alcohol fairly upfront, and a touch too sweet. But really rich and tasty. Very nice.
