Description
Holy Goat is a Dundee based brewery specialising in the production of mixed- fermentation and wood aged beers.

Mixed fermentation refers to the use of unconventional yeasts and bacteria in brewing, which allows production of beers with unique character. We are driven by experimentation and are obsessed with the awesome flavours which can be achieved from mixed-culture fermentations.

Inspired by tradition mixed fermentation beer styles we seek to pay hommage to our brewing forbears, using new techniques, fermentation styles and the highest quality ingredients to produce complex, interesting and (most importantly) tasty beer!

The breweries name references the tongue-in-cheek description of the ‘goat’ like qualities of wild yeast (Brettanomyces) characteristics. A reverence to this yeast and to the beers which display these characteristics is a strong part of the identity of the brewery.

Hail the goat!

Ну лучше предыдущих, но все равно ещё не в стиль, хотя пиво хорошее как просто саур годиться.

Bottle at CBJ TASTING. Darkest brown. No head. Aroma had molasses amd dark dough with a light sour edge. Flavourwise has a big dose of sour berries over dark dough and espresso. Medium bodied. Old. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish.

Bottleshare at CBJ. Thanks to me for the bottle. Near opaque dark brown beer, small and short lived tan head. Airy palate, a little dry, decent fine carbonation. Thin bodied dark malts, very tangy coffee and a little tangy dark chocolate. The brandy barrel provides a little oak induced vanilla and mild tangy fruity brandy. Light finish. Thin and tangy and pretty disappointing.
