Dark brown with a large fluffy head. Toasty, nutty, malty and faintly astringent with dark fruit and vague spices. Medium finish and body.

From a bottle. Decent sweet nose, maybe some sweet corn in the smell. After a gentle pour, virtually clear pale with a thin white head. First taste is rather smoother than expected lacks that annoying sweet cloying bite so common with unrefined domestic others in this style variety. Good cutting co2 as well, makes it quite refreshing to the palate. In the middle, I'm still enjoying this. I rate this right up with the better helles dorts I've done: Edenton Helles Angel, North Country Worth Your Weight In Gold, Blue Canoe Titusville Gold Lager, Uinta Fest Helles, Samuel Adams Bavarian Lager & Löwenbräu München Original. Finishes nicely, could use another bottle!

Cinnamon, clove, allspice aroma. Clear garnet brown, thin head. Cinnamon, black cherry, clove, vanilla. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Not nearly as good as the regular. Why mess with success
