50cl can. I am a vegetarian, but also a ticker... ;-) clear brown, smooth light brown head. aroma is malts, faint mild hops and perhaps a slightly salty note. flavor is malts, almost no hops, ends also malty, very typical brown ale flavor i’d say. The only thing slightly indicating bacon added is a glue like palate, like the fat on meat. I can usually detect meat in quite small doses, only the palate gives the beer away. schlenkerla tastes lots more like meat than this one, and schelnkerla is even vegetarian.

Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy medium brown with a broken white head. The aroma is doughy biscuit malt, yeast, light fruit. The flavour is light bitter sweet with a smooth chewy malt, light tropical fruit, light bitter hop palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. I loved this I must say and I’m no fan of red ales, but I can understand why others might not.
