Bottle courtesy of Deanso. Poured a hazy light amber with a huge frothy white head. The aroma is big yeast and some hop citrus. The flavour is medium bitter with a big malt fruity hop alcohol liqourice bitter palate. Medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. There is a lot going on in here and I liked it, even though it didn’t look so great.

Huge brown-tan head, pretty stable over deep brown-red beer. Dark malts, ripe banana, wood, milkchocolate; aromatic, but suggesting roasted sweet. Faintly bitterish-roasted, but mainly sweet chocolate with a little pure chocolate thrown into. Some fruity notes in the background. Bit like a liquid chocolate bar with some puffed rice. Doesn’t feel very well-bodied, maybe partly because of the very present carbonation, lending even a slight acidity - balancing the sweetload. Better than the sum of its parts. It’s no great beer, but it undoubtedly will please those liking a classical, non-sour Belgian brown ale.

33 cl. botle @ home, bought @ Hogerdijk, Culemborg. Hazy golden with an enormous white head which lasted forever. Fruity, light yeasty aroma. bittersweet taste and a nice full creamy body. Very clean round aftertaste with which leaves me wanting for more. Nice find.
