Aroma: This one has a light malty nose with some cereal and grain notes
Appearance: It pours a clear gold orange with a small head and minimal lace
Flavor: The flavor is much like the nose, light-medium sweet, with clean malts, breads, and grains
Palate: This one has a fairly light body, just a hint watery, with a fairly short duration
Overall Impression: This one wasn’t a favorite for me. It wasn’t a bad example of the style by any means, and I thought it was decently well made, but I just didn’t love.

Palate: This one has a crisp and clean feel, a light body, and a smooth, clean finish
Overall Impression: This is a pretty good lager with a nice flavor, and one of the best examples of this style that I have tried.

Had this at Caliente in Richmond VA, right before cracking into their "famed" "Stupid Wings" - horrible decision by the way - I like punishing myself but not that much. Anyway, I picked up this brew - came with a orange-light brown color with a small white head. Aroma was light honey notes, sweet malts. Flavor was grainy malts, somw sweet notes. Alcohol is really present in this one.

Crisp copper coloured body with a nice amber glow and a one centimetre tall tan head - nice. Aroma of caramel malt, nuts, earth, grass and a bit of raisins. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and malty notes up front with a bit of an english hop flavour of caramel and earth and the fleeting taste of apples and pears on the finish. Aftertaste shows some nuts, earth, grass and a bit of european hoppiness. Overall, a nice beer - definitely showing more english roots (hence an EPA) than american - but a solid beer that isn’t phenomenal, but good. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Whole Foods in Falls Church (Tyson’s Corner), Virginia on 31-October-2012 for US$1.99 sampled at home in Washington on 12-November-2012.

Airplane glue and honey on the nose. Clear amber, medium head. Medium body, hot. Nice mix of honey and hay, well balanced . To o boozy, but otherwise a secent heller bock.

Keg at The Pony Bar UES, NYC. Pours clear, rich brown with a fine, light tan cream head. Nose holds lots of rich brown bread and milk chocolate. Medium to big sweet flavor with sugary chocolate, light roast, very faint earth, brown sugar, light toffee, toasty malts and very light alcohol. Full bodied with average carbonation and a chewy mouthfeel. Very mellow warmth on the finish with lots of dark sugars, dark bread, milk chocolate, caramel, faint vanilla and mild bitter earth. Not bad.

A copper amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, sweet caramel with light veggie notes, light cinnamon, faint hops. In mouth, a sweet caramel malt with woody notes, burned character, herbal hops, OK. On tap at Ginger Man NYC, Sept 21, 2012.

Well, it’s about freaking time. EVERYBODY seems to have the bourbon aged version on tap and I couldn’t find the non barrel aged version anywhere. I finally found it at Wild Wolf Brewing Company. Pours a clear dark brown color with a thin creamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of bready malts, caramel and dark fruits. The taste is bready malts, nutty notes, caramel, dates, honey, stone fruits and a hoppy finish. Medium bodied.
