Bottle at home, 15/10/16. Clear amber with a well appointed beige cap that retains well - a real looker of a beer and a straight FIVE ! Nose is biscuit, toffee, light fruit esters, toasted grains. Taste comprises biscuit malt, light fruit loaf, toasted grains, sprinkle of brown sugar, caramel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Fine for style.

Bottle at home. Bought from Inn at Home, Guildford. Musty yeasty hay aroma, a bitter edge. Light amber. Small bubbles. Creamy white head. A light bitterness, with a sweet swell. Medium bodied, dense mouthfeel. Honey/caramel, but overpowered by the alcohol, especially in the finish. OK, but not a beer I’d order if I saw it again (and this is a second chance for it).

Bottle sourced from Good Taste Food and Drink, Crystal Palace, London shared with the Fam/Steatham (29/08/2016) - gold coloured pour with white head. Citrus fruity hoppy aroma and taste, some satsuma, lemon, wheaty, straw, hay, grassy and floral hoppy nuances into the close. Ok.

Cask at GBBF 2016. It pours clear amber with a sturdy medium white head. The aroma is brown bread, cereal, toasted grain, porridge and dull spice. The taste is smooth, bitter - sweet, brown bread, biscuit, cereal, generic fruit vibe and spice on the finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Not a huge amount going on, but OK overall.
