Description
Brewing in freedom. Young and locally oriented nano brewery. Brewing small batches we developed 20+ delicious beers over the last 4 years. At the end of 2015 we opened up our brewpub 'Café Rad van Wageningen' where we serve our locally produced beers plus some samples of other beers. For non beer drinkers we have a modest list of (good dutch) wines, stronger liquors and many other beverages. Don't forget the crafty pubmeals on friday or saturday. (Local Dutch brewer with description in English; because in the city of Wageningen we have lot's of foreign customers)

On tap @ Café Rad van Wageningen, Wageningen.
Clear amber with a thin white head. Malty aroma with floral hops. Sweetish taste with a sour note and a low-bitter finish. Nice and refreshing malty Kölsch.

Bottle accidentally kept for about 7.5 years. From Secret Sinterklaas (from that other site). Foam came gushing upon opening for a long time. Poured OK though. Dark brown colour, light brown head with some retention. Aroma's of cola, cassis, raisins, umami, light roasted and sweet. Retronasal it's caramel-ish, cardboard. Flavour is light sweet, old, light moderate bitter. Light medium bodied. Finishes old-ish and moderate bitter. Not a beer for keeping (what a surprise).

Bottle. Color: Lightly hazy golden, thin white head. Aroma: Floral, fruity notes, hoppy and malty. Taste: Floral hop, fruity notes of white grape. Over moderate bitterness and sweetness. Caramel hints. Hoppy and malty at the same time. Somewhat more bitter and dry finish. Definitely a brut IPA. Crisp. Medium body, just below average carbonation. Lightly sticky, hoppy finish. Quite nice.

Bottle. Tasted at room temperature, as adviced on the label. Color: Lightly hazy amber to copper, very thin off-white head. Aroma: Floral hop, malt, subtle caramel. Taste: Caramel, malty background, dry-ish hopbitterness with floral notes and fruity hints of yellow fruit and a little citrus. Moderate to over moderate sweet and bitter. Over moderate to medium bitter finish, bitter palate. Pretty low carbonation. Mwah. Ok, but not really my kind of beer.

Bottle. Color: Murky brown, smooth beige head. Aroma: Malty, boozy, sweetish, vanille, candied fruit. Taste: Wheat malt, dark malt, caramel and honey hints, very light banana. Very nicely balanced with sweetish and boozy notes of the Bourbon, vanilla and candied fruit notes. Over moderate to medium sweet, light hopbitterness. Just over medium body, below average carbonation. A bit thin for a BA beer, but that's ok regarding the used base beer style. Nice one.

Bottle, directly from brewery at the beginning of second lockdown. Aroma: Lots of black coffee, mocha, roasted malt. Taste: Moderate to over moderate sweet and bitter, very slightly sour (like coffee can be), strong espresso notes, mocha, bit fruity coffee bean, roasted malt. Over medium body, below average carbonation. Bit creamy. Definitely one for coffee lovers. Nice one, although the mouthfeel could have been a bit denser in my opinion.

Bottle. Color: Murky dark reddish brown, no head. Aroma: Sweetish and bit boozy rum overwhelming the aroma of the base beer. Taste: Boozy and sweetish rum overwhelming the wheat malt, dark malt and caramel, chocolate and banana hints that are still faintly present from the base beer. Sugary, vanilla notes. Medium sweet, bit sticky. Light hopbitterness. Medium body, almost no carbonation. I was already warned by the brewery that the refermentation in the bottle did not take place. Ok, but drinking this one after the normal Mordicus, I'm almost completely missing this base beer.

Bottle directly from brewery. Color: Hazy amber, frothy white head. Aroma: Wheat malt, citrus hop. Taste: Wheat malt, coriander, citrus and floral hop, hints of banana. A quite hoppy Wheat ale indeed. Over moderate to medium hopbitterness, light sweetness. Medium body, above average carbonation. Not that complex and would benefit from lower carbonation, but overall ok.
