Description
Brewing in freedom. Young and locally oriented nano brewery. Brewing small batches we developed 20+ delicious beers over the last 4 years. At the end of 2015 we opened up our brewpub 'Café Rad van Wageningen' where we serve our locally produced beers plus some samples of other beers. For non beer drinkers we have a modest list of (good dutch) wines, stronger liquors and many other beverages. Don't forget the crafty pubmeals on friday or saturday. (Local Dutch brewer with description in English; because in the city of Wageningen we have lot's of foreign customers)

Bottle. Color: Hazy amber, off-white head. Aroma: Floral and lightly citrus hop. Taste: Malty and hoppy at the same time. Caramel malt. Subtle fruity orange and tangerine notes, light hints of lemon zest. Spicy (rye) notes. Moderate sweet, moderate to over moderate bitterness. Long lasting floral hoppy finish with nice amount of bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation. Not your average NEDIPA, fortunately. Going more towards traditional English IPA. Very nice and refreshing. I love the floral bitterness of this beer.

At Rad van Wageningen 12 sep 2021 during Waogenings Beer Geeks Meeting. Pre-release, 10cl sample of bottle, refermentation in bottle is not yet complete and therefore not yet officially released. Color: Hazy golden, very thin white head. Aroma: Malty, peach notes. Taste: Malty, fruity notes of peach, some banana hints, yeasty notes. Moderate sweet, light bitterness, going to moderate at finish. Medium body, average carbonation. Not as alcoholic as I would expect from a Tripel. And fortunately not as sweet as some other Tripels are. Nice one.

On tap @ Café Rad van Wageningen, shared with Hilde.
Hazy yellowish orange with a white head. Freshly squeezed lemon juice aroma. Bitter and sour taste and finish. Refreshing and the best radler I've ever had.

Bottle. Color: Black, light brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt, some coffee, very light hints of dark cherries. Taste: Smooth mouthfeel, roasted malt, molasses, combined with (ccompared with the aroma) quite strong notes of dark cherries, Kirsch, alcohol. Some coffee at the background. Less cherry and a bit more roasted malt and coffee at the finish. Bit sticky. Over medium to full body, just below average carbonation. Nice winter warmer, although this beer came in the shops first time during the summer and I tasted it on a summer day.

Bottle accidentally kept for about 7.5 years. From Secret Sinterklaas (from that other site). Foam came gushing upon opening for a long time. Poured OK though. Dark brown colour, light brown head with some retention. Aroma's of cola, cassis, raisins, umami, light roasted and sweet. Retronasal it's caramel-ish, cardboard. Flavour is light sweet, old, light moderate bitter. Light medium bodied. Finishes old-ish and moderate bitter. Not a beer for keeping (what a surprise).
