22oz bottle pours an oily black, not much head. Nose has cappuccino and cocoa, malt, some licorice. Coconut is a little absent, not that I mind. Flavor is mocha, malt, raisins. A bit hot on the end.

Can, 0.473l. Aroma of passion fruit, citrus, mango, flowers and biscuit. Pours cloudy dark golden color with large soapy off-white head, fair lacing and sparkling appearance. Taste starts juicy tropical fruity with melon note, following is resinous and sweet malty, mouthfeel is smooth and mild spicy, while finish is average bitter. Medium body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Family matters…

2021 version. Pours black, no real head. Scent is very coconut forward, way more than the Big Poppa 2021 we've had besides. Barrel is fairly mild. Taste is full, intense, super smooth. Brandy not super recognizable, but brings absolutely insane smoothness, and elevates the good-not-great big Poppa to a multitude of what it is on it's own. Coconut, vanilla, chocolate and barrel in perfect balance.

Pours black, no real head. Scent is sweet, chocolate, dense and sweet. Taste is rather sharp, roasty, medium sweet, chocolate. More elegant and light roasted than other JWB's. Caramel, sharper roasted malts.

Pours black, no real head. Scent is ice cream, vanilla, mild banana. Pistachio's and maple are more hidden. Taste is full, banana, thick, fullbodied, chocolate. Milkshake. Low carbonation, fullbodied. Maple and pistachios are hidden. Lovely, but not my favorite.

Pours black, nearly no head. Scent is full, chocolate, hazelnut quite strong. Taste is full, intense, typical JWB. Roasty, chocolate, sweet, very intense. Lovely. Juicy-thick impy. Quite intense on the coffee and hazelnuts. Barrels very pronounced as well. Milder vanilla. Straight fire (what a slapper) once again. JWB remains strongly possitioned as my favorite stout brewer !
