Bottle shared in NH. Cheers to Munch. Pours black with a small, foamy tan head. Big and sweet, well rounded, luscious chocolate, raisins, marshmallows. Full bodied, lightly chewy, fine carbonation. Warm to hot finish, more decadent chocolate, rocky road, bourbon, booze. Very tasty sauce.

Bottle shared in NH. Pours black with a creamy, tan head. Big, fairly sweet, rich chocolate, toasted coconut, raisins, toasted marshmallows, bourbon, vanilla pods. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warm, lightly sticky finish. Excellent.

Tap @Peders. Black, crramy light tan head. Thick, creamy mouthfeel. Choc, dark malt, vanilla and a little banana in the aroma. Sweet flavour, lots of choc, some banana and some lactose sweetness. The banana notes work surprisingly well here. Light bitterness to balance.

Draft at Rustico Ballston. Poured in what I would describe as a most hideous color. Pours a really nasty looking sink water color, almost gray. Aroma is pleasant grape juice, light sweet tart character. Kind of reminds me a bit of the aroma that you get from grape Gatorade. Very light tinge of tartness.

To the name I say hardy har har. To the beer I say nice. It sure is good to get a classic IPA here, I'd call it a west coastie but I'm having trouble with that because of the surprising malt presence, but hey that's fine with me. Anyway, it starts with a really nice classic piney hop nose. Clear copper color and big fluffy head. Flavor is piney, resiny, grassy, and light citrus hops, with a bready almost caramelized malt presence, balanced overall profile, with a modest grapefruit rind bitterness. Well built and solid, which almost sounds like an insult but in the era of weird juicy hazy non-bitter IPAs, this is a nice one.
