Description
Formerly known as Boerenerf Eyelenbosch.

750 ml capped and corked clear bottle, vintage 2023, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7.0%. Belgian old cider made of apples from Normandie. Pale golden colour, pours moderately sparkling with a shortlived white head. Aroma of oak and cider apples, hints of henhouse and sheepshed. Moderate carbonation in the mouth. The flavour is medium dry with pleasant notes of cider apples and oak. Might buy again, but the price in Norway is really too high to compete with the best Norwegian ciders.

Golden red with a tall white head that fizzles off quickly. Sweet plum with plenty of acidic tartness to it. Some citrus and lemon brightness. Finish is long and acidic. Lovely.

Bottle, I’m guessing picked up at the brewery at some point pre Rich’s 50th. Clear deep cherry red. Slim pink foam. Nose has earthy sour cherry. Cherry liqueur. Lots of oak and must. Taste is dry tart and bitter. Fairly acidic overall. Pretty thin and harshly acidic on the palate. Dry and acidic finish. Nope. Not nearly drinkable as it stands.

Poured deep red in color.
Surved very cold. Lots of cherry, almondy notes, plesantly tart, sourness, dry and quite refreshing.

CBH2025. Deep red colour with a small pinkish head. Aroma is tart, some funky and mildly acidic with some raspberries and mild wooden tones. Flavour is quite similar, but also has a slightly spicy edge to it. Not really sour, more a blend of tart and slightly acidic.

CBH2025. Deep red colour with a small pink head. Aroma is cherries, cherry pips, almost nutty elements with some slight funk to it. Flavour is tart cherries with some sourness and mild nutty and some wooden tones with mild acidity as well. Nicely enjoyable in the miserable rainy weather.
