Small, if rather stable cream-coloured head over fully opaque, dark brown beer. Alcohol, fortified wine, nuts, chocolate, faintly cocos. Sweet, boozy, rum & fusels. Again somewhat nutty, some chocolate, and the fortified (red) wine returns. Very restrained acidity. Alcoholwarming, and even some alcoholthinning. Bit viscous, oily. Medium carbonation. There's better in this segment - even from both breweries. Txs to Stef!

F: medium, tanned, average retention.
C: black, opaque.
A: dark malts, light roasted tones, dark bread, chocolate, coffee, bit herbal.
T: full malty base, a lot of roasted tones, cocoa, coffee, bit dark chocolate, dark dried fruits, nice balanced bitterness yet still bit more on the malty side, ok for the style, enjoyed for sure.

C: dark amber to brown, hazy.
A: mellow fruity, bit apples, cherries, vanilla touch.
T: full malty base, mellow fruity, some berries, bit vanilla, red apples, toast, bit herbal spicy, decent bitterness, soft carbonation, not really for the style yet ok, enjoyable.

C: gold, hazy.
A: mellow fruity, apples, banana, peach, pears.
T: full malty base, banana, red apples, pears, honey, herbal, bit grainy, nice balanced bitterness, medium carbonation, not bad for the style yet nothing really special, enjoyable still.

Near clear amber beer, decent bubbly pale tan head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Slightly thin malts, a decent caramel creamy sweetness, definitely forward on the sweetness aspect. Ripe fruits, datey fruits, goes well with the caramel. Simple but tasty.

330 ml bottle. Pours a dark reddish brown with no head. Aromas of dark fruit, caramel, baked apples and soft sweet malt. Flavors follow same with some addtional subtle bourbon. Sweet but not cloying. A little light and easy drinking for a barley wine but still quite good.

Hazy amber brown beer, a few pale tan bubbles never threaten to become a head. Smooth palate, slightly viscous, decent fine carbonation. Smooth malts, a little creamy sweet malt with abundant caramel and toffee that is not so sweet. Powerful Fillers BAing - touch of vanilla oak and good whisky spice. Soft but rich and strong fruity whisky. Finishes smooth and spicy. A muscular and very flavoursome BA Barleywine.

Goudgeel bier met volle witte schuimkraag die als een film blijft liggen.
Aroma van mout en kruiden.
Smaak is moutig, zacht zoet en (iets te) kruidig.
Nasmaak is licht bitter.

Fles gekregen van "de goede oude tijd" gedeeld met Inoven en LiekevdV. Het is een goudgeel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een aroma van mout en kruiden. De smaak is moutig, zacht zoet en kruidig.
