Draft at new NoDa. Opaque brown, almost black. Aroma of Reeses pb cups. Taste is big peanut butter, seeet milk chocolate. As advertised.

Sample from 2014 batch at Denver Rare Beer Tasting VII on 09/25/2015. Brownish-orange color with a medium light beige head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, vanilla and oaky bourbon. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky vanilla, bourbon, caramel malt and chocolate. The finish is sweet with a boozy bourbon and vanilla aftertaste. Enjoyable beer all around.

Can @ benzai. Hazy orange with a small to medium sized white head. Smells hops, fruity, fresh, nice. Tastes hops, fruity, fresh, slightly bitter. Quite nice. Medium body, soft carbo.

50cl can [from trade with jtclockwork] @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus. Clear lightly orange golden color, average sized off-white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, lightly hops, some bitter. Decent body, medium carbonation. Ok.

Clear orange beer, creamy off-white irregular head, unstable, bit adhesive, falls down quickly. Aroma: very piny, resinous, fruity, lots of pineapple, bit sweet, mango. MF: ok carbon, light body. Taste: lots of citrus, fruity, grapefruit, bit resinous, passion fruit, hoppy. Aftertaste: citrus, grapefruit, bitter, grassy, fruity, resinous, pineapple. Very nice beer!!!

This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than thirty seconds leaving some light lacing sliding into the beer.
The smell started off with a sharp roasty to bitter coffee leaning towards a nice cocoa. As it warmed, a little bit of coconut rolls in to balance.
The taste was mainly roasty and bitter and sweet through a nice combination between the coffee and cocoa. Once again, the coconut is subtle, still sweet. A quick roasty sweet aftertaste leads into a dry roasty finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a pretty good sessionability to sipping quality about it. The carbonation seemed good for the style and for me. Bitterness is there to impart a nice dryness rolling over my tongue.
Overall, wow, what a wonderful American Porter. I didn’t mind that the coconut is milder than expected. Still, I would definitely have again.
