Description
Opening its production and tap room doors in October of 2011, NoDa Brewing Company has since become one of the Charlotte area’s winningest breweries – with silver and gold medals from the Great American Beer Festival and the World Beer Cup.
With a collective passion for home brewing and exemplary craft beer, Suzie Ford (President & Co-Founder), Todd Ford (Vice President & Co-Founder), and Chad Henderson (Head Brewer & Co-Owner) teamed up to create a craft brewing identity that would connect to and grow alongside their beloved city of Charlotte. Since opening in the spring of 2011, NoDa Brewing Company received a warm welcome and has since expanded to three locations (The OG, NorthEnd, and the CLT airport) and continues to be one of the crown jewels of the Queen City.

At the CLT Club, Charlotte airport. Orange with a white head. Citrus with malt and a soapy note. Oof, that soap is killing the beer. Medium bodied. Decent start but the soap ends it.

A: Mostly clear turbulent pale gold with a short but thick white head. Short retention to a lasting pad and ring.
S: Floral notes and underripe citrus. Lemon or grapefruit pith and sweet bread.
T: Bitter and pithy with mainly lemon lime citrus ending with pungent herbs.
M: Light to average carbonation, resinous feel and somehow heavier than expected body.
O: Tasty and actually quite similar to the original but I'd like to find a fresher can.

Taster at Tap It, in Indian Land, SC. It pours a clear, deep reddish color with a small white head and fair retention. Fair lacing. There's a light spice aroma, but not really a pumpkin beer spice aroma. The taste follows the nose: It's more of a spiced ale than it is a pumpkin ale. It has a little cinnamon and maybe some nutmeg, but it's definitely different than your standard pumpkin ale. That said, I like it. It's very smooth and easy drinking, and a little different than your typical pumpkin beer. Medium-light body. Very, very low carbonation, and low bitterness.

Sample at Denver Rare Beer Tasting XVI (Last Call) on 10/09/2025. Clear straw-gold pour with a medium frothy white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Sticky strings of lace. Herbal hops, tropical fruit and malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of herbal hop, tropical and citrus fruits and biscuit malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a grassy and fruity hop aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Sample at Denver Rare Beer Tasting XVI (Last Call) on 10/09/2025. Clear orange-amber color with a thin ivory white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Sparse strings of lace. Aroma of malt, cherry and bourbon. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, boozy cherry, vanilla and malt. The finish is sweet and boozy with a bourbon-soaked cherry and vanilla aftertaste. Decent overall.

A: Bubbly pale yellow with a short thick head. Pretty good retention.
S: Grassy herbs and sweet fresh bread.
T: Follows the nose closely with the sweetness a bit more pronounced but a surprising amount of herbal hop bitterness.
M: Light and clean with prickly carbonation. Extremely crushable.
O: Tasty balance of flavors and refreshing texture. Quite respectable.
