Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, toasted, toffee. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration, caramel, earthy notes, butterscotch notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20110729]

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2011, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.Clear dark brown colour with a small to average, frothy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, chocolate, toffee. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, toffee, chocolate, roasted, strawberry jam notes, a peppery - spicy finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20110804]

Cask@GBBF2011. Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruits, wood, mild toasted notes as well as some nutty and mild herbal notes. Flavour is fruity, floral, yeasty and some mild caramel and nutty notes. Pleasantly balanced.

(Cask at Castle, Chancery Lane, London, 18 July 2011) Pale golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, hoppy nose with grass, hay and citrus. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of grass, hay, citrus and a generous bitterness in the finish. Rather light body, quite dry. Refreshing and very tasty. Nice one.

(Cask at Castle, Chancery Lane, London, 18 July 2011) Pale yellow colour with brief, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with citrus, lemon peel and grass. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of citrus, lemon and generous doses of grassy, citric hops in a dry finish. Light malt character, quite dry. Tasty and refreshing. Nice one.

Chelmsford Beer Festival. Clear light gold beer, residual white head. Light semi dry palate. Mild fine carbonation. Nice fresh tasting beer. Fresh mild hop, orangey with some grapefruit bitterness. Finishes dry and a little crisp. Mildly bitter aftertaste. Refreshing.

Cask@The Maypole, Cambridge. Deep golden colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruits, wood, some florall notes as well as some mild sulphury notes. Flavour is fruits, wood, floral and some some sulphury. Quite bitter finish as well.
