Bottle 50cl. @ LCRBM 2008, ’s-Hertogenbosch, NetherlandsClear dark brown color with a average, fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, brown sugar, light alcohol. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20081025]

Golden with a big white head. Aroma has caramel and a little citrus, and maybe a hint of honey. Dry caramel malty flavour with a little hop flavour. It’s straightforward and boring, but it does have some English character.

Rerate from bottle. Honeyish nose, a hint esters, medium full dry body, focus on sweet malt, minerals chalk, ok bitterness. Ok malt liquor. Old rating: 5 4 5 2 9 Bottle. Hay and (buttered) potato?? nose. Amber, beautiful golden cream, low carbonation. Medium to low body, hayish and bready base, herbal, rubbery and earthroot notes. Weird, nor entirely bad, but weird.

Can. Pale golden, heavily carbonated, low off-white cream. Bready malt notes with buttery sidelobes. Quite some butterscotch in the flavor as well - fairly embarrassing I think. Medium chewy body, light saaz in the finish.

Draught. The aroma is Guinness-like, roast barley, coffee and a bit of sourness. Almost black colour, red shine. Big stable creamy light brown head. The flavour starts off bready, turns sweetly caramelly, actually a bit of spicy aroma hop kicks in. The mouthfeel is a little thin, but the head gives it a creamy feel. In the late finish there is a little barley bitterness.

33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow to orange with a white head. Dry malty and mild hoppy spiced aroma. Sweet malty flavoured, yet also a bit acidic and cardboardish with a harsh bitterness. Ends dry and bitter.

Lahev, Diky Quack-Ducku! Golden, some UFO*s visible, quite stable fluffy white head. Moderate sweet pale-malty nose with some aromatic Saaz umbels. Moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied. Lingering sweet-malty finish with a distinctive *woody* hoppy tail. O.K., good pivo......
