Cask-conditioned at the Hillgrove Bristol 7/11/2016. Hazy gold with a slight, white, head. Aroma of stone fruits and raspberry, with some yeasty malts. Flavour had more tart raspberries, grainy malts and some herbiness, before a gentle finish. Refreshing.

Gravity dispense at Pigs Ear ’16, 29/11/16. Golden copper with a decent off white covering. Nose is sweet malts, juicy citric vibes, orange peel, candied fruits. Taste comprises light sticky tropical notes, mandarin, toasted brioche, melon. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with a light hop tickle. Ok.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Kenny. Pours black-brown with a big, creamy beige head. Big torched wood in the aroma, baking cocoa, earth, iodine. Ligh sweet flavour with some flinty quality, more baking cocoa, ashy roast, orange rind. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A little drying in the finish, with some woody dryness, bittersweet cocoa, more ash. Pretty decent. Has a hard edge to it.

Bottle at Leighton’s place. 8/12/2016. Many thanks to Leighton for this one. A jet black coloured pour with a a lively frothy dark tan head . Aroma is earthy roast, coco powder, plummy fruits, blackberry, dark choc. Flavour is composed earthy roast, little damp roast, dirty wood, pine needle, paint, roast, dirty pine needle. Palate is prickly, high carbonation, airy. Lingering dirty earthy resinous pine. Ok.

Bottle split at Bespin (farewell ?), thanks to Kenny, 08/12/16. Pitch black with a dirty tan covering of bubbles - a lively pour! Nose is sweet malts, spice, black pepper, chocolate melt, fruit rinds. Taste comprises spice, mineral notes, earthy hop, chocolate, spice, grains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok.

Cask gravity at the pigs ear beer fest 2016. A mid orange amber coloured pour with a small white head. Aroma is tangerine, sweet orange, hop, sticky hop, grassy. Flavour is composed of semi sweet sticky orange, resin, wood resin. Palate is semi sweet sticky, Decent cask condition. Not half bad. Lingering sweet earthy citrus.

Cask gravity at the 2016 pigs ear beer fest. A golden orange coloured pour, viscous with no head. Aroma is sticky jammy hop, resinous pine, little alcohol. Flavour is composed of nutty malts, toffee, sticky resinous, jammy fruits, hot alcohol. Palate is sweet and sticky, moderate carbonation. Good stuff. Should be a double ipa.

Cask gravity at the 2016 pigs ear beer fest. A translucent yellow straw coloured pour with a fine white head. Aroma is tangy bitter lemon, spicy lemon rind, rustic raw grains, little hay. Flavour is composed of tangy lemon, woody citrus, wheat, straw, tangy bitter lemon. Palate is grainy, decent cask condition, drying finish. Drying woody tannin in the finish. Good stuff.

Cask gravity at Pugs Ear 2016. It pours clear deep red - brown with decent beige head. The aroma is rich, juicy, raisin, sultana, fruit cake, toasted brown sugar, wood and a touch of spice. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, wood, leather, fruit cake, glacier cherry, leather, resin, spice, fig, toffee and earth with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Good stuff.

Clear deep amber beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is light and has fine minerally carbonation. Thin and dry malts, very mild sweetness. Mild bitterness in to modest tangy fruits. Minerally crisp finish. Okay.
