Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, vanilla, dried fruit. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Bottle @ Fastelavnssmagning, Ulfborg. Pours black with a small creamy head and lacings. Nose and taste is roasted and bitter coffee. Chewy and smooth. A bit of ashes and alcohol. Fine. Dry end

Bottle, 8.6%. Almost black colour. Very small light brown head. The flavour is nicely sweet with a good grassy hop and a mildly roasted finish. Sweet liquorice in the finish also.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours an opaque pitch black with a dense light brown head with good retention. Hard roasted malts in the nose with sweet vanilla. Solid body, low in carbonation, hard roasted malts - never burned though - sweet vanilla and dried fruits. A little malt bitter finish. Extremely pleasant. 200210

2nd December 2008. Pigs Ear Fest. Hackney, London. Opaque dark beer - small suddy head. Described as a ’premium bitter’ but looks and tastes more like a porter! Mild, smooth and tangy. A little mild lactose.

Bottle at the Chriso Gaylord tasting 09. Amber. Lasting thin beige head. Not sure on my first taste. A little pukey but it settles down. But still not good. Just unpleasant. Some hop on end.

Bottled@The Chriso Gaylord Tasting. Very dark brown colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malts, liquorice, some mild sour wood as well as caramel. Flavour is quite much the same with the coffee being rather strong. Interesting semibitter finish.

Bottle at Chriso Gaylord tasting 09. Black, thin tan head. It’s an ok stout. Pretty solid and decent. Very good in fact and stood out even when getting to the end of the evening.
