Brown with no head. Notes of dark ripe fruits, molasses, toffee, red berries, a bit of oak, chocolate. Full bodied. Finish has a semi-tart fruit profile covered up with sweet malts and the booze finally shows its hand. It’s solid.

Mahogany with no head. Fruitcake, bold molasses, herbal, tobacco. Sweet throughout. Full bodied. Finish is warm and sweet and lingers. It’s fine but it feels a bit pedestrian.

Bottle at home, debris under the crowncap, dark beer, no head. Aroma is alcohol, raisins, sweet, malt, liquorice, some acidity. Taste is the same, sweet, bitter, acidic, malt, liquorice, tangerine, fruit, raisins. Liquorice and bitter aftertaste ending in alcohol warmth. This is a gimmick brewery, specializing in "the strongest beers in the world" -- for very high prices but no matching quality, apparently. This is one of the cheaper ones. Tastes cheap. Boozy. The complexity and depth of Kid Rock.

0.33 l bottle from 'Bierothek' (online), bottled in April 2024. Pitch black with a thin, frothy, almost stable, light brown head. Intensely sweetish-malty, quite roasty and slightly fruity aroma of praline, coffee, licorice, dark fruits and some wine gum. Rather sweet, moderately bitter, quite roasty, a little sourish, gently vinous-fruity taste of praline, hard roasted coffee, licorice, red berries, red wine and a touch of vanilla, followed by a long, quite roasty-bitter, gently tart finish. Full body, smooth, slightly astringent and moderately creamy mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Very interesting beer, unexpectedly sourish and fruity, rather unique.

Bottle at Moosburger Bierfest. Darkest brown, no head. Dark malty roast aroma, clean, raisins, preserved plums, some higher alcohols, but in general mire lightfooted than the lager variant, fun booze, easier on the palate overall.
