Bought this at Max's for $6. Consumed in 2026. Murky orange. Still. Salad dressing and nail polish. Flavor is the same with some ginger. Massively oxidized. Not good... but its old!

Aged sample Shortlived white head on a metallic copper beer, still. Sweet, vegetable sugars, caramel, indeed hints at pumpkin and a metallic tang. Oxydized, brown candi sugar, caramel, smoked hint. Light body, bit empty feel due to its aged (13 months + BBd). Almost no carbonation left. Accuses its age, and I've never been a pumpkin fan. This kind is susceptible to aging even prematurely. Txs to Stef!

Big bottle at home. Affordable price I guess for a reason. Tastes old. Muddled brown pour rather flat and no head. Nose is dark fruits and some spice. Tastes of raisins, coriander, red berry, fig, malt. Thin textured. Lacks punch

It interests me to see that not a soul has checked into this beer in the last five years. This bottle is from perhaps 89/90. Sherry, earthy minerals, tannins, slightly metallic, tartly vinous. Certainly not a pale ale, meant to be some sort of red ale.

Aroma: bruised pear, goat cheese. Taste: moss, damp earth, birch bark, wet leaves, faint old sweat, bitter grape must. Kinda geuze-like. In other words, very cool! Funky and lovely. Very glad this one is good, at least! My first Vapeur.

Bottled. Poured brownish. Lots of head. Brow sugar and syrup - overly sweet. Not great

Old rating 26-11-15 - 330ml bottle brought back from Belgium, It pours a dark amber colour with a beige head. Aromas of apples & caramel. Tastes of apples, caramel, dried fruit & spice. Aftertaste of malt & alcohol. Overall a decent strong Belgium ale.
