16 oz’s: on tap at Stones Liberty Station outlet in San Diego on 17th March 2014. Slight haze to my golden pour, the pure white head laying down some good lacing. On the sweet side in both the aroma and taste with bubblegum coming into my mind. Mild woody notes in the mix somewhere too, along with fruity hints. I enjoyed it as a first course, my second helping was a Stone Levitation Ale before I moved onto a couple of heavier flights to maximise my visit beer wise.

Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours golden amber with a slight beige head. Aroma suggests mosaic. Lots of mixed fruits. Melon? Citrus? Med body. Wow are there lots of odd fruits. Most melon I can recall. Citrus. Pineapple. Maybe guava. I’m sure there is more. There’ also a nice roasty malt backing to support all this stuff. Very light hop burn. Finishes with lots of green melon. Amazing stuff.

On tap a O'Brien's, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out dry rye notes, a little bit of whiskey. Flavour brings out loads of whiskey notes, rye notes, and dry roast. Very dry and very alcoholic. Well-barrel-aged but very extreme. Good, but too alcoholic and barrel-aged. Decent.

Bottle thanks to fata2683: Poured a darker brown with burgundy edges, head was two finger tan. Nose very hops forward and spicy. Taste is strong hops, spicy, malty mix. More pungent to the tongue than stick.

Bottle thanks to fata2683: Poured a burnt copper orange with a two finger tan color head. Aroma is fresh juicy citrus hops. Taste is similar with very citrus grapefruit juice, hops, and mellowed in the finish a bit.

On tap. It’s an almost clear one, golden in color, sparkling, and with a small, dense, white head. There’s some faint spiced and alcoholic scents, it’s quite fruity, with some pale malts, pine cone hints and grass. The flavor pretty much the same, but of course with some bitterness. Some sweetness too, but in general it’s pretty dry. Full to medium body fullness. Long finish with fruits, bitterness and a little spiced touch. Overall, a bit saison-ish, in a tripel kind of way. Nice. 130901
