0.33l bottle. Pours a pale yellow/gold body with a thin creamy white head. Lively carbonation, medium bodied, some grassy hops and a nice crisp mouthfeeling makes this a nice lager. Perfect along with sushi!

Bottle at a tasting. Thanks zvikar. Clear golden. Aroma of adjuncts and chemical notes. Flavor has some corny notes and a drier and slightly bitter finish. Light-bodied.

Pours pale yellow with a small head.Nose is very faint but does shows some grassy hops and light malt.Flavours are similarly lacking, with weak notes of grainy, cardboardy malt and some grassy more hops.Carbonation is too high.

2010 can. Very bubbly, slight darkish gold with a tin head. Light malt aroma with a touch of cardboard, slight grassy hops. Light caramel in the flavor, cardboard, slightly cloying corny sweetness, ok bitterness. Why do they bother if they are going to put in rice, corn, and starch?

Thin golden coloured body with a thin white head that leaves an interesting lace on the glass. Aroma of pale malt, light grass and metal - not much going on here. Super light-bodied; Slightly sweet corn flavour with a touch of malt and not much else - perhaps some lemon and citrus and a touch of metal. Aftertaste is mild - no harsh flavours and only some sweetness and a touch of malt. Overall, an okay beer - showing pretty much nothing, but with a sweet finish - nothing harsh nor bitter. I sampled this 350 mL can purchased from a small grocery store in Akasaka, Tokyo, Japan on 05-August-2010.

Thinnish brown coloured body with a almost ruby glow and a thinnish tan head. Aroma of brown sugar, roasted malt, coffee and a touch of chocolate - not too strong, especially for the style. Lightish bodied, somewhat Medium-bodied; Strong roasty flavour with a touch of coffee and some minor nuttiness. A bit of brown sugar and caramel sweetness and some stronger maltiness. Aftertaste is relatively sweet and mild, only a bit of bitterness comes through, but not bad - not too great, but no harshness or bitterness at all. Overall, a decent beer - not a great stout, but a good alternative to some of the lagers here. I sampled this 33 cL can purchased from a nice grocery store in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, Japan on 04-August-2010.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden with a small frothy white head that leaves good sticky lacing. The aroma is corn malt and rice. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet malt with honey and a bitter finish. A decent pale lager from Kirin.

Pours yellow-gold with a reliable head. Aroma of corn and alcohol. Taste is a little like nothing, water perhaps, with corn and maybe a rice adjunct to give it a bit more "oomph". Weak and boring. Is all Kirin stuff this useless?
