A pale lager with a thick collapsing white head. A lightly herbal malt aroma, lightly hopped. In mouth, run of the mill lager, with light German hops. 500 ml can from japan, thanks Karl.

[330ml bottle from Wing Yip, Edgeware Road, London] This is for the UK version produced under license by Wells & Young at 5% ABV. My wife and sister-in-law insisted that I buy an oriental beer to go with an oriental banquet that they were preparing, and this was the most unusual (hah!) one in the oriental supermarket we visited to get supplies. It pours the usual gold with a moderate, diminishing white head. Slight fizz, definitely less than is usual for a mass-market "world lager". It smells quite attractive - lemony with light malts - and I was starting to hope it might be better than my expectations. However, none of this is evident in the taste which is very bland, with some cardboard and corn. The finish does have more bitterness than many other lagers. Not the worse pale lager I’ve had by a long stretch, but nevertheless a forgettable beer indistinguishable from the millions of other "world lagers". Interestingly though, whilst it held little attraction as a drink in its own right it did seem to be the best drink of those we tried to go with my wife’s delicious spread of neoodles and dim sums - no flavour to compete with the food, and just enough fizz to cut through the carbs without being so fizzy that it made you bloated. So it does have its uses... c3

Canned(350ml). -Trade with faroeviking (thanks Jacob!)
Pale golden coloured, small white head, almost neutral nose. Lively carbonation. Surprisingly malty and slight acidic with notes of corn. Short bitterish finish. Drinkable.

Can courtesy of and shared with ogivlado who got it in a trade with faroeviking (thanks!) Poured a gold body with a medium-small white head that went away relatively fast. Sweetish malty nose. The taste is sweet and malty, slightly yoghurty, which is good but the hopiness is acidic and basically crap, ruining what otherwise might’ve been quite a solid lager. Not bad but just ok overall.

This one actually had noticeable hops in it, though there seemed something off about the bitterness gained from them. Easily drinkable and not all that bad when cold, but if it warmed up a little much those odd tasting hops were rather off-putting. A decent street drinker, though.

Picked this one up for the pure novelty of it because the best way to tell the quality of a beer is when the alcohol percentage is the driving force behind it. Oooh, awesome. I remember downing can after can of this type of filth in college. Sweet flavor and plenty of chemical/metallic goodness. I guess it does it’s job, though- should give it a 5 just for that.

From a tall boy that my friend brought over to cook with. I’d never pay for this. Should have put it in a brown paper bag. Amazingly sweet aroma and flavor. Tastes of medicinal fruits and syrup. Could be much worse, I expect, but it still hit the drain.
