Cask@Southwark Tavern, London. Goldeny amber colour small white head. roma is fruity, floral, grassy with some mild wheat and earthy notes. Flavour is fruity, floral, grassy and earthy with mild notes of earth. Semi dry palate.

50cl bottle. Decent off=white head. deep ruby pour. Nice smooth stout taste.

On tap @ the Haymarket. Pours golden with some haze. Nose is citrus mostly with not much of telltale wheat beer notes. The taste is more of the same - where is the banana, or toffee or nutmeg or whatever. Seems to be all grapefruit. The palate is light to medium body with a similar texture weight and a clean finish. Overall, a solid beer but they might have been better not to bother with the wheat.

Bottle at home ... amber ... thin off white head ... sweet orange and toffee malts ... light fizz ... juicy malts ... soft toffee malts ... oily body ... little bitter linger .. its quite odd and heavy ... but i think i like it.

Cask, handpump at The Palace, Kirkgate, Leeds, W.Yorks 18.03.12 in company of dad & Barry Conker brown with a reddy glint and creamy off white head. Fruity in the mouth with some tangy fruit skins adding a bit of bite to this. Cherry shows a little but overall its ok and whilst I didn’t mind it I wouldn’t necessarily rush out to hunt this beer out again. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Draught. Frothy off-white good mostly lasting head. DArk red amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Almost no chery. Moderate bitter flavor. Dry roast. Very week cheey notes. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.

Cask @ The Horniman at Hay’s, London. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, hops, cherry notes and milk chocolate. Odd sweetness.

Cask at The Magpie, Nicholson’s, London. Pours clear, bright gold with a fine, foamy white head. Quite a bit of toasted straw in the nose with hints of citrus. Light to medium sweet flavor with ripe citrus, dirt, straw. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Somewhat sticky finish with a dirty, lightly abrasive bitterness, mild toasty dough, some citrus rind. The bitter edge softens as I get used to the beer. Not bad overall.

On tap @ the Haymarket. Pours golden with a decent head. The nose has gentle citrus zing but also a worrying apple zing. The taste is more of the same. The palate has a light to medium body and texture with a clean gentle finish. Overall, reasonable but slightly oxidised, methinks!
