(Cask at Wenlock Arms, London, 7 Aug 2010) Hazy golden colour with no head. Fruity nose with red apples, pears, some sweetenss and a well balanced acidity. Fruity taste with notes of apples, pears, a touch of sweetness and balanced hints of sourish tannins. Well balanced and tasty. Quite nice.

@ Harp, bag in a box. Hazy orangey-amber colour. Appley, sort of slick mouthfeel. Light barrel note, with vinous character. Some late tartness. It’s ok, but for me this didn’t really come together.

Polycask? drawn through handpump at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks, 21-07-10 Pours a deep gold. This is medium sweet in the mouth, with plenty of soft and overipe appley flavours coming through, some stewed apple. Nice cider but the alcohol does show a little. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Southampton Arms on handpull I think. I mean it looks awful, brown/yellow/green and very murky. Other than that though this was delicious. Great character and personality and I really think Yarlington Mill is my favourite cider apple single varietal. Some sharp tropical fruit flavours and a fist thumping finish that takes your breath away. Lovely.

No idea how this came as it appeared in a half pint jug in front of me bought for me by someone from the Merseyside end of the M62. I normally really like single varietal Dabinnet ciders, but this one was a tad too sweet. Lovely apple character, plenty of flavour, just a bit too sweet on the finish. Some tannins battle through the sweetness on the finish to attack the enamel on your teeth.

Cloudy yellow with no head. Aroma had rums, tart apples and came out fairly dry despite the sweet rum. Sweet and fairly dry farmhouse flavour with tart apples and wood. Finished somewhat dry.
