My beer of choice for my week in Costa Rica, January 2009. I packed a 330ml bottle for my home collection. It pours golden with a white head. Aromas & tastes of crackers, corn, grain, hints of citrus, hay, flora & malt. Moderate body. Dry moderate bitter finish. Enjoyable enough served cold

12oz can in Costa Rica.
Pours slightly cloudy yellow with a medium sized off-white head that dissipates quickly, some light lacing. Mango, herbal, lime, salt, mild tart.
Ok, but I liked the other version (Lemon y Sal) better.

Clear bottle from a little shop cum bar in Punteranus Costa Rica on 17th March 2025. Drank out of the bottle standing in the shade. This was the only new rate I could find in town that was from Costa Rica. It’s urine yellow and fizzy. It was also very cold. Pretty tasteless though.

Country #100 - Costa Rica 🇨🇷
I did it!! 100 different countries, of which 98 I found in person and 2 were souvenirs from friends’ travels.
I just wish the 100th country was represented by something nicer than an under-average musty lager.
