Bottle from a French Supermarket. Poured a clear copper colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is caramel malt, light fruit hop. The flavour is moderate sweet with a dry, crisp, mineral, aspirin, woody, aromatic hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle picked up from the brewery shop June 2017, consumed at Fairport Annual Reunion, Thursday 10th August 2017 picked up at Kernel in May 2017. I believe that this release was limited to just 200 bottles, sure that is what I read above the boxes in the shop. Hazy murky mid brown with a slim off white head. Quite sweet, the whisky is soft and adds a biscuit and vanilla element to the beer. It carries a little boozy edge, malty and a little spice. Ok. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Pours with huge styrofoam head, heavy carbonation, very faint white-yellow body. Very fragrant, lavender and coriander it seems, old school style floral notes with just a hint of witbier detergent. The flavour falls flat however - just a bunch of mud and cabbage, grass, not tasty at all. And that grass holds on in the aftertaste. Good looking and good smelling - just don’t try to drink it.

Bottle picked up from somewhere in France, probably St Malo and consumed at home after a hard day ponding and now making a Lamb Keema with Chapati and Potato Koftas, Sunday 23rd July 2017. Pours mid to dark brown as opposed to amber, hazy with a white head. Malty and a bit fruity, a tad bland but it’s ok. Fine. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov12 3.0
