Description
in 1990 Bernard Lancelot founded the Cervoiserie Lancelot, later changed into Brasserie Lancelot. Inspired by the history of the region and celtic legends, Lancelot was one of the first Breton breweries to have emerged. Lancelot offers craft beers to its consumers that are full of character and they have won many awards.

La libre interprétation d'une IPA en Bretagne est d'un résultat décevant. Tout d'abord, eu égard à l'intensité de l'amertume qui peut faire douter sur la qualification d'IPA mais surtout qu'elle n'arrive ni à convaincre sur ses arômes ni sur présence en bouche très limitée. Elle n'en est pas désagréable pour autant. En verre nous sommes sur un blond limpide surmonté d'une mousse blanche de 1 mm. Le nez laisse de marbre sur une alliance citron panaché avec une once de pamplemousse et d'herbes. La dégustation n'est pas plus passionnante sur une amertume astringente, avec les mêmes arômes qu'au nez, sans variation. L'alcool à 5,5 % ne brille pas spécialement, bien que si la corpulence est faible, la longueur est honnête. Désaltérante en été mais il ne faut attendre de plus.

33cl bottle from Le Comptoir Irlandais in Nice, France. Big, egg-white, good retention head. Colour is deep gold, clear. Aroma is malty, citrus, herbal hoppy, toast. Taste is medium to full malty base, toast, citrus, bit orange, onion effect, medium carbonation, good one, enjoyed.

Bottle. Color: Slightly hazy golden, fasf disappearring white head. Aroma: Wheat malt, orange zest, herbal hints. Taste: Wheat malt, coriander, subtle orange zest notes. Over moderate sweet, light bitterness. Just under medium body. Under average carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel. Ok, but a bit thin bodied and a bit boring for this style.

Bottle from E.Leclerc hypermarket in Saint Lo. Color: Hazy pale golden, very thin white head. A lot of sediment on the bottom of the bottle and even some very small floating particles. Aroma: Floral and lightly citrus hop. Taste: Hopforward, quite harsh floral and some citrus hop, over moderate to medium hopbitterness. Wheat malt background. Moderate sweet. Pretty smooth mouthfeel. Medium body, average carbonation. Ok.

Mooi verhaal over de franse revolutie op de fles, jammer dat ik geen frans kan. Stijl zou fruit bier zijn. Niet echt een standaard fruit beer, niet echt een specifieke smaak.

Bottle 750ml. clear glass @ [ Pre-Borefts 2019 Tasting ] - Kermis House - Zaandam, Netherlands.

[ As Manoir de Guermahia Chouchen Hydromel Breton ].
ABV: 14.0%. Clear light to medium yellow colour with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate honey, sharp, moderate to heavy alcohol - ethanol. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, honey, oak, alcohol - ethanol, sharp, maybe some light medicine also. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery - sticky, carbonation is flat, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20190926]
