On tap at Flying Pie Boise, Pours out a copper/gold topped with a small head. Nice yeast and spice aroma. Tast was not bad a little sweet and a pretty nice bodie.

The presantation is superb. You feel that you are holding a bottle of Dom Perignon. The aroma and flavor are very complex. Swett , spicy. However i didn’t like the taste as much I had hoped for. I will possibly rerate this one day

(Bottle, Monk’s Café, Stockholm, 31 Oct 2007) Golden amber colour with huge, but brief, white head. Fruity nose with candy, dried papaya and mango, hints of black-currant. Fruity taste with notes of sweet candy, dried papaya and mango. Slightly chemical finish. Solid malt foundation gives it a quite chewy mouthfeel. On the sweet side, but the balanced candy character is rather charming. Nice beer.

0.33 l bottle. Poured murky golden body with big fluffy white head slowly going down. Very nice fruity aroma, vanilla, banana, some spices too. Flavor is quite alcoholic, bitter and sweet like it is expected. Pretty full bodied. Finish is sweetish, alcoholic. Great beer, but not the best tripel I had, although I was expecting it will be.

Bottled. Clear golden color, frothy head, highly carbonating. Aroma is grassy, slight cheesy, spicy of ginger and clove, quite off-balance. Taste is grassy as well, bit dry, way too sparkling. For the amount of money you pay for a bottle, you can buy so much better stuff.

This has always been available to me but for some reason I never bought it. It is good but not what I expected. Quite dry, almost like a saison. Almost. Lots of yeast and very earthy. Very little sweetness, but there is some. Wild flowers and herbs in there as well.

All of these Champagne beers are good, but like the others I have had, Deus is not $25 good. The aroma has light alcohol and yeast. Flavor is sweet malt, and as a very high quality beer, the alcohol is expertly hidden. A slightly cloudy gold appearance. Very heavily carbonated. Yeast and fruit in the finish.

Bottle, 33cl. I always thought I had rated this one, as I have been drinking it on several occasions, but finally... When opening the bottle, the beer immediately volcanoed out of the bottle, and leaving so much foam in the glass that it soon flooded. The head soon stabilized and diminished, leaving just a little white lid of bubbles on top of the hazy, orange body. There’s a good deal of floaties in it as well. The aroma is lovely fruity, with citrus and some banana, pale malt, cloves and other spices. It is a bit gazzy in the mouth, but it is a full-bodied beer with a good deal of sweetness. The flavor is just lovely, sweet and fruity, with a nice hoppy bitterness in the back of your mouth, as well as coriander and alcohol. Despite all the sweetness, it finishes rather dry. It is a quite warming beer and really lovely, and it irritates me a lot that so much of the bottle ended up on my dining table. (071019)
