19th July 2021; Shrewsbury Beer Share in Chez Sophie, five of us splitting 16 different beers, t'was a good night! 440ml can of this, taken by me: BB Feb 2022. Red bodied, pinkish head. Strong vanilla like aroma, initial taste also favoured vanilla before a semi-sourness kicked in. Interesting and different.

Can from Beer52. Pours pretty much jet black with a sizeable but transient dark beige head. Fudge, coffee, chocolate and fruitcake in a rich heady aroma. Has a smooth creamy texture, and flavours on the sweet side. Milk chocolate to the fore, along with fudge, toffee and honey. Some bitterness from coffee grounds in the finish. This a is pretty much a liquid Mars Bar ! Very nice but not much beer character to it.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A cola brown coloured pour with a thin caramel coloured head; aroma of fudge and earthy nuts; oddly bitter taste to start then settling down to a sweet fudgy body with a milky consistency; and some nice bitter coffee and dark chocolate towards the finish. Pleasant enough, but not my kind of thing.

440ml can from my brother Matt: BB Mar 2022. Drank at home on 4th Jul 2021. Decent tanned topping on a very dark body, loads of vanilla and chocolate to be found in both the nose and taste, I found chestnuts rather than pecan, but defo some nuts in there!

Creamy tan head left a collar on a mahogany coloured body. Chocolate, caramel, biscuit & mint aroma. Medium bodied, smooth, greasy & cloying. Chocolate, fudge, caramel, lactose & mint tastes. Liquid dessert

330ml can, drank at my parents on 25th Jun 2021, part of a Beer52 box. Black bodied, beige foam on top. Reminded me of a bowl full of Tiramisu. It's rich, and almost sickly in nature.

Can on 25th June 2021 from Gorillas. Rated as a novelty ale. Pours deep sepia with tan foam and scant lacing. Intense peanut nuttiness in aroma, Rich and intense peanut butter in-mouth with a hint of rum and raisins. A roasty finish with hints of smoke, fruitcake and spices. Smooth mouthfeel and medium body. A thrilling stout!

Can on 25th June 2021 from Gorillas. Pours hazy amber with a shallow off-white ring-and-film affording minimal lacing. Aroma of tropical fruits and some spiciness. Tangy citrus and tropical fruits in-mouth. Juicy sweet fruits in finish. Medium bodied with a zingy mouthfeel.
