750 ml bottle. 2009 vintage blue wax top. Clear crimson red with big soapy head. Nose is old hops, caramel malts, chocolate notes with a slight off note. Flavor is sweet up front with a metallic / copper taste. Oxidized notes... Big oxidized notes, with sweet caramel. Ummm, boy this was a big disappointment.

Finally, after all these years I get to taste this brew, been waiting a long time. Hazy light brown with nice mellow slight perfume aroma. On tap at the bocktown. Slight erotic dirt taste. VEry friendly and enjoyable co2. A rather fun drink right from the start. Yes easy but it has that typical easy end yesaty brew background. Overall not bad, probably the best beer I drank today.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a black color with a medium sized foamy-creamy brown head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was dry brewed coffee. The flavor was dry, roasty and had a fairly strong brewed coffee presence. Medium length finish. Medium body and smooth. Ok.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a black color with a small foamy beige head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was dry black licorice and cherry. The flavor was very tart and sour black licorice, a light herbal presence and was a touch medicinal. Long dry, tar, and sour black licorice finish. Medium body. Ok.

Bottle shared by Noodleuser. Poured a dark brown color with a touch of wispy white head. Aroma had some spice - notes that were some toasted malts. Plenty of caramel notes. Not at all!
