Description
We are an independent craft brewer specialised in brewing lager. Born in London in 1995, we have since moved to Abbots Bromley in rural Staffordshire. Relocating has allowed us to use a better quality of water direct from our very own private source. The move also provided us with the space we need to recycle all our waste water on site via a natural reed bed system. All the beers we brew are naturally carbonated, unpasteurised and vegan friendly. Our brewing process blends the use of modern technology and sophisticated equipment with the care and dedication of our experienced team of "hands on" brewers to ensure all our beers are well balanced and consistent in quality.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A bright amber pour with a fast fading white head; citrus aroma; crisp citrus taste; and a clean finish. But instantly forgetable.

330ml can. Poured a clear golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light citrus, woody hops. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, somewhat light, malt, herbal, woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

330ml can at home, clean and clear golden body, short lived wispy white head. Slight bitterness, slight citrus bite, slightly OK.

Can from Lidl. Clear gold, small loose white top but surprisingly resilient. Aroma of semi-sweet malts, light gooseberry, spice; pleasant but muted. Taste is quite grainy and resinous, mild grape, bitter back end. Light to medium bodied, semi-dry. Another average beer from Freedom but perfectly drinkable. They seem to suck all the good hop flavours out of their beers. I know they brew to a low price point though so won't be too critical.

Bottle from lowocstbeer.com. Clear gold with small white head. Aroma of malt, flora, grass, touch of lemon. Taste of light bready to grainy malts, floral resin, squeeze of lemon, quite bitter. Light bodied, moderate carbonation. Decent.

On tap at Cherry Reds, Birmingham. Pours a clear gold with moderate sized white head, nice retention to it. Clean and crisp, not a huge amount of flavour, some grass and cereal but a decent bitter kick. Light bodied but refreshing. Simple but well made.

Can from Flavourly. Pours near black with red tinge, small off-white head. Aroma has sweetness, light toasted malt but the hops come through more with earthy and herbal notes. Taste again is quite earthy with a roasted malt, the middle is a bit watery until a herbal bitter finish. Its ok.

Can from Flavourly. Dark brown pour with small beige head. On the nose - light roast, caramel, some sweetness, gentle floral hop. Taste - sweet and roasty, nuts, some caramel, mild tangy dark fruit, floral to herbal bitterness. Light bodied with a modest carbonation which doesn't get the most out of the flavour. Overall though its my favourite Freedom beer to date out of the 7 I've tried so far.

330ml can. Mostly clear gold, with fizzy white head, minimal retention. Light malty with a yeasty-fruity hop in both aroma and taste. Moderate bitterness in the finish. Light to moderate bodied, good medium level of carbonation, fairly smooth. Its clean and crisp, fairly simple but well made.
