Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks kerenmk. Cloudy brown. Aroma of malt, caramel, some roast, cardboard, dark fruits compote. Sweet flavor with cardboard, a bit of caramel, fruitiness, and a bitterish roasty finish. Medium-bodied. 2 months before BBD but already feels too old.

Bottled. Reddish orange colour with a small pinkish head. Aroma is raspberries, some mild wood, earth and quite sweet malts. Flavour is some sweet malts, mild toffee as well as quite strong on the raspberries, which come in in a quite nice tart, but sweetish way.

Opaque dark brown colour, small loose frothy tan head, mostly diminishing, no lacing. Aroma roasted malts, coffee, cocoa, dried dark fruits, liquorice. Taste light to medium sweet and bitter, roasted malts. Medium body, oily texture, flat carbonation, aftertaste dry roasted bitter, chocolate, earthy undertones. Difficult to categorize but I think stout would be the best, anyway a very nice dark beer.

*Old rating, best before 05.2010. Slightly sweetish and yeasty golden beer. A bit grainy-sweetish, smooth, a bit too sweetish for me.

Bottle brought by a friend, medium sample. Hazy brown color, short frothy off-white head. Aroma is spicy with a funky touch, caramel. Sweet, bit sour. Like a spicy rodenbach, but again not intentional and not pretty good and balanced. Another miss.

Bottle brought by a friend, medium sample. Hazy golden color, medium off-white head. Aroma of grainy malt, bit flowery hop, slight funky touch, citric. Bit sour in taste, bit sweet. Slight spicy as well. A typical belgian blonde beer, turned a bit sour and catching up some lambic notes, which most likely wasnt intentional. And not in a good way either.
